Pulcinella Disaster Show
Pulcinella Disaster Show
The Days of Italian Culture in Bale will begin on Wednesday, August 13, at 9:00 PM in Tomaso Bembo Square with a performance by the Trieste-based theatre ZaTroCaRaMa, presenting “Pulcinella Disaster Show,” an original project by Giulio Settimo.
This comedy is part of the Little Bembo program, dedicated to young audiences.
It tells the story of one of the most famous puppets of all time: he is “Pulcinella,” and after travelling the world in the last century performing in the streets, he now returns to the theatre.
“He is famous for his Bastonate—the heavy blows with a stick that he generously deals out to his enemies—and in this show he seeks to overcome himself by abandoning his violent sceptre and revealing a new skill: ‘ball play.’ In the new millennium, he proves that he is still the prince of performances, the ruler of the Talent Show, agile, lively, quick in movement and in expressing emotions, and universally understood,” reads the announcement of this hilarious puppet show.
