The play “Training” by Marin Lisjak and Paško Vukasović is performed in the space of Bale’s outdoor fitness zone, in the Laconovo Sports Zone (by the football fields).
In this play by Boom Theatre, which inventively combines culture and sport, the actors are Vedran Živolić, Marko Cindrić, and Luka Juričić.
The play had its premiere at the end of last year in a gym in Zagreb.
The setting, in fact, is a gym. “Training” is performed in a gym, it speaks about people who meet in the gym and reflects on today's problems — from mental health and frustrations to hiding behind masks that people gladly “put on” to act as if they’re doing fine.
This is a play about people who probably find it easier to lift a weight off the floor than to lift one off their soul.
How much theatre fits into one training session, and how much reality is then left for them?
Whoever is without problems, let them be the first to throw the kettlebell.
