Theatrical Premiere at Fort Forno: "One Lovely Summer Night in Bale" Under the Stars

On Friday, July 11 at 9 PM, the magical setting of Fort Forno will host the premiere of “One Lovely Summer Night in Bale”, an original musical-theatre piece by Marijana Nola and Robert Raponja.

Blending elements of cabaret and vaudeville, this humorous and heartfelt performance features acting, singing, and reinterpretations of timeless classics by Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Lady Gaga, Zdravko Čolić, Tereza Kesovija, Bryan Adams, and more.

The story unfolds on a starlit evening in Bale, where charming hosts Marko and Fani welcome guests to an unforgettable night of music, dance, and surprises at the Fort Forno terrace. But when a young musician named Devin unexpectedly arrives, everything begins to change…

The cast includes Anastazija Groško, Juraj Devin, Lara Živolić, and Davor Tarbuk.

A free tourist train from Mon Perin campsite will depart at 8:30 PM from Babaloo Bar and at 8:35 PM from Paleo Park.

This performance is part of Bembo Fest, a summer festival that transforms Bale into an open space for creativity and cultural dialogue, featuring 30 free events until September 4. The festival is organized by Teatar Fort Forno with support from the Municipality of Bale – Valle, Tourist Board, Mon Perin d.d., the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, Istria County, as well as the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb and the Austrian Cultural Forum.
