Čeripnja Fest in Bale brings together 17 teams and numerous visitors
On Sunday, we gathered once again around the fire, čeripnje and good company. At the Čeripnja Fest, held at the sports field behind the school in Bale, 17 teams competed in preparing their specialties under the čeripnja, while numerous visitors from Bale and the surrounding area joined the event throughout the afternoon.
With the aromas of traditional cooking, freshly prepared dishes and plenty of good cheer, the afternoon was filled with a warm and lively atmosphere. Valuable prizes provided by our sponsors were awarded to the best-performing teams.
The seven winning teams
At the end of the competition, seven teams were awarded:
1st place – Ribari
2nd place – Galižana
3rd place – Bale Hunting Association
4th place Bale Pensioners' Association
5th place – Naše žene
6th place – Cuga, dvi, tri...
7th place – Zdenka & Antonio
Congratulations to all the teams for their excellent dishes, and especially to the winning teams on their results and valuable prizes.
Fugasele – now a tradition
A special part of the programme was once again prepared by our local retired women Liviana, Marija, Milva and Milena, who made traditional Bale fugasele. Their fugasele have already become an essential part of our gatherings, and this year they once again quickly found their way to visitors – both young and old.
And to make sure no one went hungry, there was plenty more food to enjoy. Everything prepared under the čeripnje disappeared quickly, and soon the ćevapi were gone too. It seems that the appetite this Sunday was just as big as the good mood.
Čeripnja Fest for a good cause
But most importantly, we would like to thank everyone who took part, purchased a tasting voucher and supported this year’s Fest and its humanitarian cause.
All funds raised will go towards helping Alisa Lovas, a member of our local community.
Thank you to all the participating teams, our wonderful retired women, volunteers, organisers and sponsors, as well as everyone who spent this Sunday with us.
Another Čeripnja Fest is now a happy memory – full of wonderful aromas, laughter, good company and a strong sense of community.
